"Parents Who Host, Lose the Most" is a local campaign to alert parents to the danger of providing alcohol to children under 21 years of age.  The campaign is sponsored by the Shared Services Network of Martin County, in collaboration with Safe and Drug Free Schools, the State Attorney's office and MADD Martin County.  This campaign will raise awareness among parents that it is illegal and unhealthy to allow young people under 21 years of age to drink alcohol. It will also highlight the legal consequences for violating the law.  The campaign was kicked-off on February 27, 2004 with a press conference at the County Courthouse and will be followed-up with  printed materials to parents, a poster campaign and several PSA's, both on radio and cable television.  The text below outlines the major points of this important campaign.  The campaign was timed to coincide with prom season, spring break and graduation.  For further information call Donna Hosang, Shared Services Network, 772-219-1200 x 30476, Robyn Vanover, Safe and Drug Free Schools, 772-219-1200 x 30476 or Kelly McIntyre, MADD Martin County 772-288-4418.
